BEIRUTE — O Ministério da Saúde do Líbano disse na quarta-feira que uma pessoa morreu e mais de 100 ficaram feridas por explosões de dispositivos eletrônicos em diversas regiões do país.
As explosões ocorreram um dia depois de um aparente ataque israelense contra pagers usados pelo Hezbollah, que matou pelo menos 12 pessoas e feriu quase 3.000.
Jornalistas da Associated Press relataram diversas explosões no local do funeral de três membros do Hezbollah e de uma criança, mortos por pagers explodidos no dia anterior, em Beirute.
A Al Manar TV do Hezbollah relatou explosões em várias áreas do Líbano, e um oficial do Hezbollah disse à AP que walkie-talkies usados pelo grupo explodiram como parte de explosões ouvidas em Beirute. O oficial falou sob condição de anonimato porque não estava autorizado a falar com a mídia.
