A partir de sexta-feira, os eleitores da Virgínia podem começar a votar na corrida presidencial e nas eleições locais.
Embora a eleição geral seja em 5 de novembro, a votação presencial antecipada começa na sexta-feira em todos os cartórios eleitorais e continuará até 2 de novembro. Os eleitores não precisam fornecer um motivo ou preencher um requerimento para votar pessoalmente antecipadamente.
Cédulas ausentes também podem ser solicitadas e devolvidas pelo correio. Os eleitores registrados podem solicitar uma cédula ausente pessoalmente, pelo correio, online (vote.elections.virginia.gov/VoterInformation/Lookup/absentee) ou entrando em contato com o cartório do registrador geral. Não é necessário nenhum motivo para solicitar uma cédula ausente.

O que eu levo?
No cartório ou local de votação satélite, os eleitores devem fornecer seu nome e endereço e mostrar uma forma aceitável de identificação ou assinar uma declaração de confirmação de identificação. Para uma lista de formas aceitáveis de identificação, visite elections.virginia.gov/registration/voterid/.
Aqueles que não fornecerem uma identificação aceitável podem assinar uma declaração de identificação afirmando sua identidade. Se não assinarem uma declaração de identificação para afirmar sua identidade, eles podem votar usando uma cédula provisória.

Ilha de Chesapeake — O General Registrar’s Office, localizado na 411 Cedar Road, está aberto das 8h às 17h de segunda a sexta-feira. O cartório do registrador também estará aberto das 14h às 16h no dia 6 de outubro e das 9h às 17h no sábado, 26 de outubro e 2 de novembro.
Hampton — O escritório principal do registrador de eleitores em 101 Kings Way fica aberto das 8h30 às 17h, de segunda a sexta. Também fica aberto das 13h às 17h no dia 13 de outubro e das 9h às 17h nos dias 26 de outubro e 2 de novembro.
Condado de James City — O Escritório de Eleições, localizado em 4095 Ironbound Rd., Williamsburg, está aberto das 8h às 17h de segunda a sexta-feira. Ele estará aberto no sábado, 26 de outubro e 2 de novembro, das 8h às 17h.
Norfolk — O Office of Elections, localizado na Suite 100 na 810 Union St., tem horário de votação antecipada das 9h às 17h de segunda a sexta-feira. Também estará aberto em 26 de outubro e 2 de novembro das 9h às 17h.
Notícias de Newport — Sexto andar da Prefeitura, localizado na 2400 Washington Ave., das 8h às 17h de segunda a sexta. Também estará aberto em 26 de outubro e 2 de novembro das 9h às 17h e em 27 de outubro das 11h às 16h
Poquoson — Council Chambers, localizado na 500 City Hall Ave., das 8h30 às 16h30 de segunda a sexta. Este local também estará aberto das 9h às 17h nos dias 26 de outubro e 2 de novembro.
Portsmouth — O cartório geral, localizado no primeiro andar na 801 Crawford St., fica aberto das 8h às 17h de segunda a sexta. O cartório também ficará aberto das 9h às 17h nos dias 26 de outubro e 2 de novembro.
Suffolk — O Cartório do Registro Civil de Suffolk, localizado no primeiro andar da 440 Market Street, está aberto das 8h30 às 16h30 de segunda a sexta-feira, bem como nos sábados, 26 de outubro e 2 de novembro.
Praia da Virgínia — O Voter Registrar’s Office, localizado na 2449 Princess Anne Road, está aberto das 8h às 17h de segunda a sexta-feira. Também estará aberto nos dias 26 de outubro e 2 de novembro das 9h às 17h.
Williamsburg — O Cartório de Registro de Eleitores, localizado na 401 Lafayette St., fica aberto das 8h às 16h30, de segunda a sexta-feira, e das 8h às 16h30, no sábado, 26 de outubro, e no dia 2 de novembro, 26 de novembro.
Condado de York — Dois locais do Voter Registrar Office estão disponíveis para votação antecipada das 8h30 às 17h de segunda a sexta-feira. Os locais são 5322 George Washington Memorial Hwy, Yorktown, e 6614 Mooretown Rd., Ste. A, Williamsburg. Ambos os escritórios estarão fechados em 18 de outubro. Eles estarão abertos das 9h às 17h no sábado, 26 de outubro e 2 de novembro.

Datas importantes para lembrar
20 de setembro: Começa a votação presencial antecipada.
15 de outubro: Prazo para se registrar para votar, ou atualizar um registro existente. Os eleitores podem se registrar após esta data, até o Dia da Eleição, e votar usando uma cédula provisória).
16 de outubro: O registro no mesmo dia começa. De acordo com o Departamento de Eleições da Virgínia, qualquer pessoa que se registrar e votar ao mesmo tempo terá que lançar uma cédula provisória.
25 de outubro: Prazo final para solicitar o envio da cédula pelo correio.
5 de novembro: Dia da eleição. As cédulas de voto ausente devolvidas pessoalmente devem ser recebidas até às 19h. Todas as cédulas enviadas pelo correio devem ter o carimbo postal de 5 de novembro.
8 de novembro: Todas as cédulas enviadas pelo correio devem ser recebidas pelo cartório eleitoral até o meio-dia.
