Um garoto de 17 anos foi preso em conexão com o incidente de segurança cibernética que afetou a Transport for London (TfL), informou a National Crime Agency (NCA).
Na quinta-feira, a TfL disse que alguns códigos de classificação e detalhes de contas bancárias de clientes podem ter sido acessados por hackers durante um “incidente de segurança cibernética em andamento”.
A NCA disse que o adolescente foi preso em Walsall em 5 de setembro.
A operadora de transporte relatou pela primeira vez um ataque cibernético em 2 de setembro.
A NCA disse que o adolescente foi preso sob suspeita de crimes relacionados à Lei de Uso Indevido de Computadores.
Ele foi interrogado por agentes da NCA e já foi libertado sob fiança.
A NCA disse que estava trabalhando com a TfL e o Centro Nacional de Segurança Cibernética para minimizar os riscos aos clientes.
Paul Foster, chefe da Unidade Nacional de Crimes Cibernéticos da NCA, disse: “Ataques à infraestrutura pública como esse podem ser extremamente prejudiciais e levar a consequências severas para comunidades locais e sistemas nacionais.”
O diretor de tecnologia da TfL, Shashi Verma, disse na quinta-feira que um “número limitado de clientes” pode ter tido números de contas bancárias e códigos de classificação acessados.
Ele disse que os afetados seriam contatados diretamente.
O Sr. Verma disse que uma investigação sobre o ataque cibernético estava ocorrendo em conjunto com a Agência Nacional de Crimes e o Centro Nacional de Segurança Cibernética.
“Embora tenha havido muito pouco impacto sobre nossos clientes até agora, a situação continua a evoluir e nossas investigações identificaram que certos dados de clientes foram acessados”, disse ele.
