Terrell Harper, 42, foi acusado na quarta-feira de tentativa de roubo, dano criminal, ameaça, invasão criminosa e assédio. Ele se declarou inocente e mais tarde foi libertado sob fiança de US$ 10.000.
Harper estava entre um grupo de manifestantes na noite de segunda-feira, disse a polícia, que se reuniu em frente à casa de um policial em Sunset Park cujo nome e endereço foram postados nas redes sociais.
O policial, de acordo com a mídia social, havia colocado as mãos nos manifestantes na noite anterior quando eles se manifestaram em frente à delegacia da 73ª Delegacia em Brownsville porque estavam irritados com o tiroteio no metrô de 15 de setembro, no qual dois outros policiais abriram fogo, ferindo um evasor de tarifa. que os confrontou com uma faca.

O detetive Vincent Chung mais tarde processou Harper, mas o processo foi arquivado, com o juiz considerando os comentários de Harper ofensivos, mas dizendo que eles eram protegidos pela Primeira Emenda.
