Um motociclista morreu em um acidente envolvendo um veículo motorizado na Rota 9 em Berlim na tarde de quarta-feira.
Policiais chegaram ao local do acidente na Rota 9 Norte, perto da saída 33, por volta das 16h14 de quarta-feira, de acordo com a Polícia Estadual de Connecticut.
A polícia estadual disse que uma motocicleta Harley-Davidson estava viajando na Rota 9 Norte na faixa da esquerda na área da Saída 33 quando um Chevrolet Impala viajando na faixa da direita invadiu a faixa da esquerda e colidiu com a moto. De acordo com a polícia estadual, o motociclista foi ejetado da moto durante a colisão.
A polícia estadual disse que o motociclista, identificado como Paul Krampitz, de 65 anos, de Cromwell, sofreu ferimentos com risco de vida e foi transportado para o Hospital New Britain, onde foi declarado morto.
O motorista do Chevrolet, um homem de 24 anos de New Britain, disse aos policiais que não estava ferido e recusou tratamento médico, de acordo com a polícia estadual.
A polícia estadual disse que o acidente continua sob investigação.
