A vocalista do Heart, Ann Wilson, terminou a quimioterapia e está pronta para cair na estrada novamente em 2025, anunciou ela na terça-feira, marcando o fim de seu tratamento para um câncer não especificado.
Ela lançou seu vídeo no Instagram com um alegre “Olá a todos!” e disse que sabia que as pessoas estavam preocupadas depois que o grupo cancelou a parte do Reino Unido de sua turnê Royal Flush em maio.
O grupo, conhecido por sucessos como “Barracuda” e “Magic Man”, revelou o diagnóstico de câncer e a cirurgia de Wilson em julho. Wilson disse na época que seus médicos ordenaram que ela se aposentasse das turnês até o final deste ano, mas ela prometeu voltar. Na quarta-feira, ela começou a cumprir essa promessa.
“Agora, eu sei que muitos de vocês estão se perguntando como eu estou. Então, pensei que seria melhor se vocês ouvissem isso diretamente de mim”, disse Wilson, 74. “Estou indo muito bem agora, mas tem sido, para dizer o mínimo, muito. Quimio não é brincadeira. Ela exige muito de uma pessoa. E então aquelas duas semanas de espera pelos resultados dos testes, uma forma de tortura mental.”
Ela disse que sentia “muita empatia” por outros que trilharam esse caminho.
“Felizmente, para mim, quando os resultados finalmente chegaram, eles eram bons!”, ela disse sobre os testes de acompanhamento. “E então estou animada para compartilhar com vocês que agora terminei a quimio e estou oficialmente pronta para me preparar para a turnê em 2025!”
Apenas dois dias antes, a banda discretamente adicionou mais shows ao itinerário para 2025, incluindo uma segunda noite em Las Vegas e novos shows em Toronto, Mashantucket, Connecticut e Boston.
