Segundo o material do plano de estudos do SDUHSD fornecido pelo Centro de Governo Nativo, um reconhecimento de terras é destinado a ser uma celebração viva de uma comunidade indígena, que reconhece as pessoas que pertencem à terra e à história da terra .
