Altas temperaturas de 102 a 105 estão previstas para sexta a domingo. O aviso vai das 10h de sexta-feira às 20h de domingo.

Como resultado, o condado de Clark ativou suas estações de resfriamento de sexta a domingo.
Os centros de refrigeração estão abertos a pessoas que vivem em situação de rua e outras pessoas da comunidade que precisam de espaços internos frescos para descansar do calor.
O condado de Clark e parceiros comunitários estão abrindo estações de resfriamento para o público durante o dia nesses dias. Uma lista de locais confirmados, incluindo centros comunitários e bibliotecas, está disponível em HelpHopeHome.org.
“As doenças relacionadas ao calor aumentam significativamente durante eventos de calor extremo, especialmente no final do calor recorde do verão”, informou o serviço meteorológico em seu alerta. “Beba bastante líquido, fique em um quarto com ar-condicionado, fique longe do sol e verifique parentes e vizinhos.”
A máxima na quinta-feira atingiu 100 no Aeroporto Internacional Harry Reid, o recorde de 102º dia em 2024, com máxima de 100 ou mais quente.
O calor foi um fator em pelo menos 342 mortes no condado de Clark este ano, de acordo com o escritório do legista do condado de Clark. O número é recorde e muitos casos ainda estão sendo examinados para determinar se o calor foi um fator.
As máximas no baixo Vale do Rio Colorado e na Área de Recreação Nacional do Lago Mead devem ficar em torno de 108 a 110 durante o fim de semana.
