“A tempestade passará pela Geórgia e seguirá para o oeste, no Vale do Tennessee. O centro da tempestade estará bem distante, mas haverá um impacto, especialmente ao sul e oeste de nós”, disse Kyle Pallozzi, meteorologista do National Weather, na noite de quinta-feira. “O período mais constante de chuva será durante o dia de amanhã, com ventos de até 25 mph.”
A Administração Oceânica e Atmosférica Nacional alerta que o campo de vento da tempestade se estende até 275 milhas de seu centro, e que grandes áreas do sudeste, de Tallahassee, Flórida, a Atlanta e ao oeste da Carolina do Norte, correm o risco de grandes inundações.
Um aviso de inundação costeira para a costa do condado de Anne Arundel, que esteve em vigor durante toda a semana, foi prorrogado até a manhã de sábado. Pallozzi disse que o furacão não causou as inundações ao redor da Baía de Chesapeake, mas reforçará os ventos que as provocaram.
Espera-se que sexta-feira em Baltimore tenha máxima à tarde em torno de 76, com 80% de chance de chuva e trovoadas após as 17h. Espera-se que 80% de chance de chuva se estenda até o início da manhã de sábado.
A previsão de sábado aponta para uma máxima em torno de 81, com 30% de chance de chuva depois das 14h, aumentando para 40% à noite.
A previsão é de domingo com máxima em torno de 83, com 50% de chance de chuva. As temperaturas na noite de domingo, quando os Ravens recebem o Buffalo Bills no M&T Bank Stadium, estão previstas para ficarem na casa dos 60 graus, com 50% de chance de chuva.
A previsão de chuva ainda é para segunda e terça-feira da próxima semana, com máximas na casa dos 70 graus.
A quarta-feira será parcialmente ensolarada, com máxima próxima a 74, e quinta-feira será ensolarada, com máxima em torno de 73, informou o serviço meteorológico.
