BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (AP) – Um jurado condenou um homem por tentar organizar o assassinato de um imposto federal no Alabama.
Em julho, os jurados condenaram Michael Roman Black, de 32 anos, por ameaçar matar um funcionário federal, solicitar que ele fosse assassinado e fizesse declarações falsas a um agente federal.
Os fiscais federais escreveram em um comunicado de imprensa que Black, enquanto estava encarcerado em Hoover, contava a outro recluso sobre seu plano de um dos fiscais federais que trabalhavam em seu caso fora assassinado por dois associados “desde afuera”. Os fiscais federais disseram que compartilharam detalhes de quem planejou entrar em contato e que eles teriam que disparar para o fiscal em seu carro.
Black enfrenta até 20 anos de prisão pela carga de incitação, 10 anos de prisão pela carga de amenaza e cinco anos pela carga de fazer uma declaração falsa. Será sentenciado em dezembro.
Um advogado defensor que figura no registro de Black não respondeu imediatamente a um e-mail no qual foram solicitados comentários.
