Os motoristas podem esperar fechamentos de faixa única em ambas as direções na Park Avenue esta semana, enquanto a Direção Regional de Transporte testa trens leves sobre trilhos no bairro Five Points de Denver antes do retorno da Linha L no final deste mês.
A RTD operará trens em vários horários em ambas as direções ao longo da Welton Street entre as estações 20th/Welton e 30th/Downing, das 7h às 19h desta semana, a partir de segunda-feira, de acordo com a agência de trânsito.
Os trens estão sendo operados para garantir que novas melhorias de segurança estejam prontas para a Linha L retomar o serviço em 29 de setembro. A Linha L está fechada desde maio como parte de um projeto de reconstrução de RTD de US$ 152 milhões.
As melhorias na Welton Street foram projetadas para reduzir o potencial de acidentes em cruzamentos, disse a RTD, por meio da atualização dos sinais de alerta de trens para alertar melhor os motoristas e pedestres sobre a aproximação de trens leves sobre trilhos.
Em maio, a RTD suspendeu seu serviço de trem leve no centro da cidade, incluindo as linhas D e H, como parte de uma grande reforma de meses no sistema de trilhos de 30 anos.
