GLENDALE, Arizona – Jayden Daniels arremessou para 233 jardas e um touchdown e correu para marcar em seu retorno no deserto, e o Washington Commanders estendeu sua seqüência de vitórias para três com uma vitória por 42-14 sobre o Arizona Cardinals no domingo. Daniels – a segunda escolha geral na primavera passada – se tornou o quarto quarterback na era do Super Bowl a disputar quatro touchdowns em seus primeiros quatro jogos da NFL, juntando-se a Cam Newton, Robert Griffin III e Anthony Richardson.
Daniels também completou 26 dos 30 passes e tem uma taxa de conclusão absurda de 82% em sua curta carreira. Ele acertou Terry McLaurin para um touchdown de 10 jardas no meio do quarto período e encontrou Zach Ertz na parte de trás da end zone na conversão de 2 pontos para uma liderança de 35-14.

Daniels e o coordenador ofensivo de Washington, Kliff Kingsbury, tiveram retornos bem-sucedidos.
Daniels jogou na faculdade por três temporadas pelo Arizona State antes de se transferir para a LSU, onde ganhou o Troféu Heisman em 2023.
