A polícia está caçando um suspeito que roubou US$ 30 mil em um açougue e mercado em Nova Jersey.
O roubo aconteceu em 21 de setembro no Paradise Halal Meat em Paterson, com vídeo de vigilância obtido no sábado pelo News 12 New Jersey mostrando um homem mascarado invadindo um escritório nos fundos do negócio, que é ao mesmo tempo um açougue e um mercado, e depois apontando uma arma contra o lojista Abdelgawad Elsayed.
“Depressa, me dê tudo”, grita o suspeito. “Coloque tudo na bolsa.”
Elsayed obedece rapidamente e entrega todo o dinheiro – cerca de US$ 30 mil – de uma gaveta, mostra o vídeo.
Em outro momento, o ladrão pode ser visto segurando o telefone e mostrando a Elsayed a foto de uma mulher que ele aparentemente conhece.
“Dê-me o papel”, acrescenta o homem, referindo-se a documentos, incluindo passaportes e números de Segurança Social.
Elsayed novamente obedece.
O filho do lojista, Mohammed Elsayed, disse ao News 12 que seu pai ficou “aterrorizado” e traumatizado com o encontro.
“Ele não tem vindo à loja desde que isso aconteceu”, disse Mohammed. “É meio difícil ter alguém apontando uma arma para você,”
Mohammed também explicou por que havia tanto dinheiro na loja.
“Compramos todas as semanas entre 30 mil e 40 mil dólares em carne do leilão”, disse ele à estação de notícias.
As autoridades policiais de Patterson estão pedindo a qualquer pessoa com informações sobre o caso que entre em contato com a polícia. Nenhum outro detalhe foi fornecido.
