Apesar do quarterback titular Trey Cleeland não ter se arrumado para o jogo da tarde de sexta-feira, o time de futebol jesuíta ainda conseguiu manter a bola rolando na vitória desigual por 42-6 sobre Grant no Grant Bowl.
Não é de surpreender que a chave para o ataque jesuíta tenha surgido no jogo corrido. O sênior Dominic Locati teve 21 corridas para 140 jardas e três touchdowns no jogo.
Luke Ortner teve a maior parte das corridas no segundo tempo, com 15 corridas para 90 jardas.
Joe Stimpson fez seis corridas para 62 jardas e um placar, tudo no primeiro tempo. Ele também teve um retorno de punt para touchdown no terceiro quarto.
Com Cleeland ainda afastado na sexta-feira, Harper Sage começou como zagueiro dos Crusaders. O júnior completou três dos seis passes para 34 jardas. Junior Jadyn Hedges entrou para o segundo tempo, completando seu único passe para 23 jardas.
Apesar da finalização desequilibrada, Grant abriu o jogo com um choque que pareceu surpreender os Crusaders. No pontapé inicial, os Generais executaram com perfeição um chute lateral e recuperaram a bola. Braden Baker acertou um passe curto para Marcus Rouse Jr., que levou a bola 18 jardas para um touchdown e colocou Grant em vantagem por 6 a 0 no início do jogo.
Infelizmente para os generais, essa foi a única vez que o ataque encontrou a end zone na tarde de sexta-feira.
Jesuíta (3-1) começará o jogo da Metro League na próxima semana, recebendo o Westview.
Grant (1-3) jogará em Jefferson na próxima semana.
