Os condados de Clark e Washoe foram os mais recentes processados por uma organização conservadora em um esforço para forçar os condados a processarem as contestações de eleitores registrados que a organização alega terem se mudado dos dois condados.
A Citizen Outreach Foundation entrou com uma ação judicial contra Carson City e Storey County na semana passada, pedindo ao tribunal que os instruísse a processar contestações de eleitores suspeitos de serem inelegíveis. Na segunda-feira, a fundação prosseguiu com ações judiciais semelhantes contra Clark e Washoe.
O processo envolve milhares de contestações que o grupo apresentou alegando que certos eleitores registrados não eram mais elegíveis para constar nas listas eleitorais porque se mudaram do condado ou do estado.
O gabinete do secretário de Estado se recusou a comentar os processos.
