Os ingressos para o retorno de Keyshawn Davis, natural de Norfolk, estarão à venda na quarta-feira às 10h no Ticketmaster.com e na bilheteria da Scope Arena.
Davis (11-0, 7 KOs) luta contra Gustavo Lemos (29-1, 19 KOs) no evento principal de 10 rounds dos leves na sexta-feira, 8 de novembro, na Scope Arena. A luta pode ser vista na ESPN+.
Este é o primeiro grande evento de boxe em Norfolk desde que a lenda do boxe Pernell “Sweet Pea” Whitaker defendeu seu título mundial dos meio-médios contra Buddy McGirt em outubro de 1994.
“Quando eu era criança e crescia em Norfolk, eu sonhava em realizar o suficiente para ser a atração principal de um card na Scope Arena um dia”, ele disse. “Meu ídolo do boxe é o lendário Pernell ‘Sweet Pea’ Whitaker, e eu quero lotar aquela arena como ele costumava fazer. Ele é o maior da minha cidade, e estou honrado em continuar esse legado. Mal posso esperar para fazer um show espetacular contra um oponente difícil como Gustavo Lemos. Todos do 757 estarão do meu lado.”
Davis está acompanhado no card por seus irmãos, Kelvin e Keon. Kelvin (13-0, 7 KOs) luta contra Yeis Solano (15-3, 10 KOs) em uma luta de oito rounds, enquanto Keon faz sua estreia profissional em uma luta de quatro rounds no peso meio-médio.
O undercard também inclui o campeão mundial dos médios da WBO Brian Norman Jr. (26-0, 20 KOs), que faz sua primeira defesa de título contra Derrieck Cuevas de Porto Rico (27-1-1, 19 KOs). O peso leve Abdullah Mason (15-0, 13 KOs) luta contra Yohan Vasquez (26-5, 21 KOs), e o desafiante dos médios Troy “The Transformer” Isley (13-0, 5 KOs) luta contra Tyler “Hercules” Howard (20-1, 11 KOs).
