Há uma pessoa no grupo de quem tenho sido consistentemente próxima ao longo dos muitos anos. As outras duas, não, e houve uma lacuna de mais de 15 anos em nossas amizades quando me mudei. O problema é que eu superei essas duas.
Esses dois sempre insistem que nos reunamos como um grupo quatro vezes por ano, geralmente perto de aniversários. É sempre uma dor de cabeça tentar coordenar agendas. Eles são muito difíceis de lidar e inflexíveis com suas agendas, mas insistem nessas reuniões.
Não tenho mais nada em comum com eles, exceto o tempo que nos conhecemos. Gostaria de me afastar dessas reuniões. Não nos vemos nem falamos um com o outro de forma consistente, exceto nessas reuniões de aniversário. Tentei me desculpar no passado, mas eles insistem em esperar que eu esteja disponível. É ridículo e estou exausto disso. Essas são pessoas que não aceitam um não como resposta. Como acabo com essa loucura?

Dear Over It: Às vezes você tem que deixar bem claro que uma amizade acabou. Um término, se preferir. Isso parece com onde você está com essas duas pessoas agora.
Mas, diferentemente de rompimentos românticos, que geralmente têm começos e fins claros, a dissolução de amizades pode ser nebulosa e imprecisa. Então, você terá que ser claro sobre o que quer.
Pedi à especialista em amizade Anna Goldfarb, autora do livro “Modern Friendship: How to Nurture Our Most Valued Connections” e do boletim informativo Substack “Friendship Explained” um roteiro de término gentil, mas claro. “Não somos socializadas para nos afastar de amizades”, Anna me disse. “Então, posso entender por que essa situação deixa o escritor da carta desconfortável. Anna também disse que você não deve ter medo de se desligar se eles resistirem. Você pode precisar silenciar os convites. “Eles são adultos, e administrar a decepção deles não é sua responsabilidade.”
Caro Eric: Meu marido e eu namoramos à distância por um ano antes de nos casarmos. Durante esse tempo, ele me disse que tinha síndrome pós-ISRS. Depois de parar de tomar a medicação, ele ainda conseguia “ter um bom desempenho”, mas não desejava mais sexo. Ele disse que antes do ISRS sua libido estava boa.
Enquanto estávamos namorando, isso parecia OK porque, embora pouco frequente, ele parecia estar gostando de sexo. Então nos casamos. Depois de 11 meses sem sexo, fomos ver um terapeuta, onde descobrimos que ele realmente não gostava de fazer sexo quando estávamos namorando. Ele nunca gostou muito. Ele simplesmente não consegue mais sentir desejo. Ele tentou drogas para melhorar o sexo, Wellbutrin, suplementos de ervas, terapeutas, testosterona. Nada funcionou.
Nós dois ainda estamos na casa dos 20 anos e estou indecisa sobre filhos. Nunca tinha ouvido falar dessa síndrome antes, mas depois de pesquisar, não parece tão incomum. Eu amo meu marido. Você tem algum conselho sobre como lidar com isso?

Querido Desejo: Parece que o casamento (e a terapia) deram ao seu marido conforto suficiente para parar de realizar seu prazer. Tente ver a honestidade dele como um convite para ser honesta sobre como você se sente também.

Pode parecer que as respostas para essas perguntas são óbvias, mas cada casamento é único. Sua carta demonstra empatia e disposição para aprender e se ajustar; esse é um presente maravilhoso e você pode usá-lo para criar o casamento que deseja.
Isso provavelmente é tão confuso para ele quanto para você. Ainda há muitas incógnitas sobre a síndrome do inibidor pós-seletivo da recaptação da serotonina (ISRS). Um estudo de 2023 estimou que cerca de 4 em cada 100.000 pessoas que tomaram ISRS desenvolveram disfunção sexual após tomá-los. Um estudo de 2006 colocou o número em 5% a 15%. Ele não está sozinho, mas pode sentir que está.
Do lado logístico, a síndrome pós-ISRS do seu marido não impede que ele tenha filhos. Se vocês dois decidirem tentar ter uma família, tudo o que vocês escreveram indica que ele estaria disposto e seria capaz de participar.
