Pedir para ela parar provavelmente resultará em sentimentos feridos, assim como entrar em uma longa conversa sobre estética arbórea. Aceite que esses enfeites vêm de um lugar sincero e dê a eles um lugar sincero em sua casa.
Estou curioso para saber o que você tem feito com os enfeites até agora. Se você tem adicionado eles de má vontade à sua árvore de uniformes, pode parecer um rebaixamento movê-los. Uma simples conversa pode ajudar a suavizar as coisas. Mas uma árvore onde todos os presentes dela para você podem ser exibidos é um gesto amorosamente festivo.

Se sua família tem uma mentalidade mais tradicional, eles podem estar ignorando o Johnson como se fosse um nome de solteira, então eu não consideraria isso uma forma flagrante de desrespeito.
Você está enfrentando séculos de tradições de nomenclatura de casados. Sua escolha é absolutamente válida, e eles devem chamá-lo pelo seu nome real, mas sua família pode pensar “Ela se casou; ela é uma Smith”, não importa qual seja a verdade.
