Um aumento de ameaças e rumores vagos afetou escolas em todo o país, e o Distrito Escolar do Condado de Clark não é exceção, disseram autoridades.
“Ameaças que foram consideradas infundadas e falsas”, disse o tenente Brian Zink do Departamento de Polícia do CCSD na terça-feira. “Ainda não tenho ideia dos números e estamos apenas na quarta semana do ano letivo. Percebemos um aumento (nas ameaças) na semana passada.”
O aumento levou o distrito a enviar e-mails aos pais para conscientizá-los sobre essas ameaças e como elas podem atrapalhar o aprendizado.
“O Clark County School District está ciente de algumas tendências e rumores de mídia social que podem atrapalhar nossos campi e a comunidade ao redor”, afirmou o e-mail de terça-feira. “Por favor, saibam que muitos distritos escolares em todo o país estão atualmente enfrentando ameaças vagas semelhantes.”
“O CCSDPD quer lembrar à comunidade que levamos todas as ameaças a sério e que qualquer pessoa que espalhar falsas ameaças pode ser processada no sistema de justiça juvenil do Condado de Clark e no Sistema Judicial do Condado de Clark com base na idade do suspeito”, disse Zink em uma mensagem de texto.
“Às vezes recebemos ameaças de mídia social que fazem referência a mais de uma escola”, disse Zink. “Investigamos de onde a ameaça se originou e verificamos se as ameaças são substanciadas ou não.”
O e-mail pedia aos pais que fizessem o seguinte:
— Converse com seus filhos sobre as consequências de fazer ameaças à escola. Todas as ameaças são levadas a sério e serão tratadas conforme descrito no Código de Conduta do Aluno do Pré-Jardim de Infância—12ª Série do Distrito Escolar de Clark County.
— Pais e alunos devem evitar compartilhar essas postagens vagas nas mídias sociais porque isso pode criar confusão e postagens imitadoras. Alunos e pais podem fazer denúncias por meio do sistema de denúncias SafeVoice ligando para 1-833-216-SAFE (7233), ou em safevoicenv.org ou por meio do aplicativo de telefone gratuito para download.
