Tyler fala sobre ser co-anfitrião, com McHale, do evento anual Imagine Dragons Tyler Robinson Foundation Rise Up Gala na sexta-feira à noite no Wynn. A gala anual beneficia a luta contra o câncer pediátrico. O TRF recebeu o nome de Tyler Robinson, o jovem fã do Imagine Dragons que morreu de câncer no cérebro em 2013.

O tempo de Tyler em Las Vegas remonta a 25 anos, aos seus primeiros anos como comediante de stand-up no Riviera Comedy Club, que foi demolido em 1999. Ela está trabalhando na terceira temporada de “Criminal Minds: Evolution” e está dirigindo vários episódios na próxima temporada.
Tyler também apresentou “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” na The CW desde 2013.
O ator e comediante se junta ao TRF pelo segundo ano consecutivo com McHale, que apresentou o evento em diversas ocasiões desde que ele foi lançado no então Hard Rock Hotel (hoje Virgin Hotel) há uma década.
Tyler é fã da banda, além da música. Ela ficou impressionada com o documentário de 2018 “Believer”, que ela chamou de “Extraordinário”.
Em grande parte um projeto de Reynolds, o documentário examinou o conflito entre a comunidade LGBTQ+ e a Igreja SUD. O filme seguiu os esforços de Reynolds para organizar o Loveloud Festival em Orem, Utah.
“Eu me apaixonei por eles em sua missão ética”, diz Tyler. “Quando assisti a ‘Believer’, que foi um filme incrivelmente comovente, eu simplesmente vi que eles eram caras ótimos assumindo uma grande causa. Fazer isso foi um sim muito, muito fácil para mim.”
O Rise Up Gala arrecadou mais de US$ 3,5 milhões no ano passado no Resorts World, um recorde para o evento, e arrecadou cerca de US$ 18 milhões desde 2014. Mais de 85% do dinheiro arrecadado vai para famílias necessitadas (acesse TRF.org para mais informações).
O Imagine Dragons está atualmente em turnê promovendo o novo e fantástico lançamento, “Loom”, encerrando com quatro shows no Hollywood Bowl nos dois últimos fins de semana de outubro.
Tyler se ramificou para sua própria empresa de coquetéis, a marca de margarita orgânica pronta para beber Losophē. Tyler é uma ex-bartender que diz: “Eu nunca mais quero ver um Sex on the Beach, a menos que eu esteja tomando.”
Esse material é para promover margaritas enlatadas, não para o palco stand-up. Tyler diz que ela fechou o capítulo sobre seus anos como comediante. Mas ela se lembra de suas primeiras noites sob as luzes no Riv.
“Eu era uma comediante bebê, e foi algo muito importante para mim, meu primeiro grande show”, ela diz. “Acho que ganhei, tipo, US$ 1.000 pela semana. Foi algo muito grande ir para Vegas. Foi uma explosão para uma comediante jovem, e ainda é para mim.”
