COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State está na estrada pela primeira vez nesta temporada, abrindo o jogo Big Ten contra Michigan State.
Viajar significa dar uma primeira olhada na escalação de viagens dos Buckeyes, com 75 jogadores de uma escalação com 85 jogadores bolsistas e 20 outros participantes. Embora existam muitos calouros que fizeram a viagem encabeçada pelo wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, mas também falta na lista um jogador que espera ser uma grande parte do futuro.
Apesar de ter perdido a faixa preta no início desta semana, Air Noland foi o único quarterback bolsista a ficar de fora da lista de viagens. Ter quatro zagueiros viajando é frequentemente o padrão que a OSU tem com Will Howard, Devin Brown, Lincoln Kienholz e seu colega calouro Julian Sayin. Noland ter sido deixado para trás não é surpreendente, já que um jogador é visto em uma linha do tempo diferente, como um verdadeiro calouro que não fez parte da equação durante a batalha do quarterback no acampamento de outono. Seu foco está no futuro, então, em vez disso, Chad Ray se juntou aos quatro zagueiros na viagem.
